PRIMARY FUNCTION
The communications operator works within a team of other operators to answer requests for service and to manage field resources. The communications operator answers both non-emergency and emergency requests for service, using a robust Computer Aided Dispatch application and radio communications system. Dispatchers must have the ability to multitask and be able to work in a fast-pace and demanding environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum 21 years of age
2. Current CPR certification
3. EMT-B Certification or higher
4. EMD Certification or be enrolled in a company sponsored EMD course within 6 months of employment.
